Gentamycin

Gentamycin is an antibiotic that is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It belongs to a class of antibiotics called aminoglycosides, which work by disrupting the function of bacterial cells and preventing them from growing and multiplying. Gentamycin is commonly used to treat infections of the respiratory tract, skin, and urinary tract, as well as more serious infections, such as sepsis. It is usually given intravenously or intramuscularly. Like all antibiotics, gentamycin can cause side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, and hearing loss.
